p

Construction has begun on Interstate 494. Both eastbound and westbound lanes are now reduced to two lanes between 24th Avenue in Bloomington and Pilot Knob Road in Eagan/Mendota Heights.

This project is necessary to make repairs to the bridge over the Minnesota River. The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) anticipates the lane reductions to be in place until late October. We recommend checking MnDOT’s website or traffic apps for updates on construction progress and potential delays.

Enjoy Eagan encourages everyone to plan ahead and allow extra travel time if you plan to use this stretch of I-494 especially during Vikings Training Camp this summer. Let’s all be patient and courteous on the roads!
